Stand behind waterfalls, walk beside a glacier and experience Iceland's famous black sand coastline with your own private local guide.
Waterfalls. Glacier. Black sand. Your pace.
Drive east from Reykjavík and Iceland changes quickly. Mountains rise beside the road. Waterfalls fall from ancient sea cliffs. Glaciers appear between volcanoes. And eventually the landscape reaches the black volcanic beaches around Vík.
The South Coast is one of Iceland's most spectacular day trips — but it doesn't have to mean spending ten hours following a bus timetable.
With TINDUR, the day is private. Your guide collects you directly from your Reykjavík accommodation and stays with you throughout the journey. Take your time at the waterfalls. Ask questions. Stop for photographs. Walk toward the glacier. Enjoy lunch when you're ready. And experience Iceland's South Coast at a pace that feels like your own.
Ask questions throughout the day and actually get to know the person showing you Iceland.
No unrelated passengers, from pickup to drop-off.
No long sequence of hotel stops before your day starts.
Love Skógafoss? Stay longer. Ready to move on? Let's go.

Conditions can change quickly and waves can travel much farther up the beach than visitors expect. Your guide will assess conditions and explain where it is safe to stand.
Always follow your guide's instructions and the posted local warnings — and never turn your back on the ocean near the shoreline. We may modify or shorten the beach stop if conditions require it.
The route may change because of wind, snow, ice, flooding, road conditions, visibility or attraction closures. Safety always comes first.
